What's the meaning of landmark?



Landmark is an object or feature of a landscape or town that is easily seen and recognized from a distance, especially one that enables someone to establish their location.


So, in my second post. I will told you about the landmark in my hometown, Bekasi!





At first glance the existence of the monument to the overall height of about 205 cm (with a high specification monument to the neck of the monument is 150 cm, while the height of the head pillar 73 cm) this is just a monument boundaries of ordinary, but if telisik historical terms, this monument has enormous historical significance, which shows how the struggle of Bekasi in the colonial period against the Dutch troops and allies.


                                   
First public story purportedly from Bekasi who witnessed the construction of the monument K.H. Agus Salim, in body building the monument there is a jar, containing a document. The document contains suffered record losses in Bekasi community for the attacks undertaken by the allies. If someday these events be called K.H Agus Salim landmark. Justified in the International Court then ascertained Bekasi people will receive compensation for what was done by the allies.

This monument was built to commemorate the struggle of the people of Bekasi who fought with the Dutch in the Dutch Military Aggression II events.




Why named K.H Agus Salim?
Because the landmark was in K.H Agus Salim street in Bekasi.


Who is K.H Agus Salim?

K.H Agus Salim is one of Indonesia's founding fathers and prominent diplomats. He played a leading role in the creation of the Indonesian constitution in 1945 and served as Indonesia's Foreign Minister between 1947 and 1949.
